Each filter is manufactured from optical glass with a multi-coated surface designed to maintain image quality while providing the required level of light reduction. Because the kit uses seven separate fixed ND filters rather than a variable ND filter, each strength provides predictable and consistent light reduction without the cross-pattern artefacts that can occur with some variable ND filters.
The set contains pure neutral-density filters. They are intended primarily for exposure control and do not provide the reflection reduction of CPL or ND/PL filters or the diffusion effect of Black Mist filters.
